Murray State College has partnered with TimelyCare, higher education’s leading virtual health and well-being provider, to offer students free, 24/7 access to mental and physical health support—anytime, anywhere.
This new service, launching this fall, extends Murray State’s existing counseling and health resources, helping to improve student well-being, engagement, and retention. The demand for around-the-clock, high-quality care has never been more critical.
“We’re committed to removing barriers to student success—and that includes making mental and physical health care more accessible,” said Becky Henthorn, Provost. “This partnership strengthens our support network and ensures all students, including those online or attending remotely, can receive timely care when they need it most.”
National data highlights the urgency of this initiative. The American Council on Education identifies student mental health as the top concern among college presidents, and emotional stress is cited as the number one reason students leave college.
With TimelyCare, Murray State students can connect with licensed providers via phone or other devices, without the need for insurance or out-of-pocket costs. Services include:
- TalkNow: 24/7 on-demand mental health and emotional support
- MedicalNow: 24/7 on-demand medical care
- Scheduled Medical and Counseling Visits
- Health Coaching
- Peer Community Support
- Digital Self-Care Resources
- Basic Needs Support
“This partnership allows Murray State to deliver a hybrid model of care that complements our on-campus resources,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. “It also ensures our online students have access to the same high-quality support. It allows us to serve more students—better.”
