Murray State College to transition classes online in response to COVID-19
March 17, 2020
Murray State College will begin virtual operation on Monday, March 23, 2020. Students in current online classes will continue as usual. In consideration of COVID-19 health concerns, face-to-face classes will be unavailable at all campuses and in all locations. Students in face-to-face classes will transition to online instruction beginning Monday, March 30. Information and details regarding this situation will be available on the Murray State website at mscok.edu.
College employees will work remotely beginning March 23 and may be contacted by phone or email. Dorms and food service on campus will reopen on March 23 following the March 16-20 spring break week.
"This situation has grown more broad and complex daily, and we have been planning accordingly. We're in uncharted waters and working to best serve and protect our students, employees, and community members," said MSC President Joy McDaniel.
Spring sports competitions and practices have been cancelled in light of recommendations by NJCAA. Community groups that have scheduled events on the Murray State College campus should contact the employee with whom they made reservations to confirm. Any events previously scheduled may be postponed, cancelled or rescheduled to protect the health of all.
