August 12, 2019

While kicking off a new school year this week, Murray State College is also celebrating its 111th birthday. Created by former Oklahoma governor William H. “Alfalfa Bill” Murray in 1908 as a secondary school for agricultural students, the last century-plus has brought growth and diversity to campus while also maintaining the college as an active and integral part of the local community.  Murray State College staff pictured (left to right) are Amy Caskey, Director of Executive Affairs; Joy McDaniel, President; Cheryl Phelps, Assistant Vice President for Communication and Engagement; Sam Holt, Chief of Police; Amanda Berry, Director of Resident Life; and Michaelle Gray, Vice President for Student Affairs/Human Resource Director.
