Interactivity Sources

If you use or plan to use any social media, contact the Public Relations office to ensure compliance with the MSC Social Media Policy and requirements.

Consider how you can ensure students have an area where they can "contribute" to the course (Blackboard Journal, Blog, or website).

Dragster - Create drag-and-drop or "hot spot" quizzes and lessons. Dragster 2 is free; Dragster 3 requires a payment and a download. If you want to use Dragster 2, there are additional instructions needed to incorporate this in Blackboard (contact Academic Technology).

eMaze - Online Presentation Software - Create amazing presentations; free account available, but must use paid account to download presentations

FlipGrid - $60/year for 5 grids

FlipSnack - Create Flip Books

Knovio - Create, track, & share online presentations. Free. Available on desktop or mobile.

Jeopardy Labs - Allows you to create a customized Jeopardy template without Powerpoint.

Padlet - similar to Pinterest; Free.

PollEveryWhere - online surveys. Free for one account and up to 40 responses.

Popplet - For iPad and web; cost for the app.

Prezi - First month free; $5/month

Remind - "A safe way for teachers to text message students and stay in touch. FREE."

Screencast-o-matic - One-click screen capture recording on Windows or Mac computers with no install; free for short videos (up to 15 minutes); $15/year for longer videos

Slideshare - Create and/or upload presentations.

StoryBird - Free; allows you and your students to create "visual books"

Survey Monkey - Requires sign-up (free). Use to create interactivity with your students.

ThingLink - Create interactive pictures; Free. - Create infographics, videos, micro-content, presentations; Free.
