My goal is to produce an object that is
universal, not only culturally but in time as well - a figure
representation that is both ancient and futuristic. I chose the
idea of the petroglyphic image to represent all interior walls, not just
of caves but also of homes, between ideas, within one's self. I chose the
shaman dream chaser images to represent the quests or journeys on which I
believe we all travel. Whimsical to serious, these images have their roots
in many varied places; some historical, some personal.
My desire is that these images filtered
through my interpretation find a resonance with others and become a part
of their worlds as they have become a part of mine.
