Before you do the readings and view the presentation below, please be advised of the following:

  1. In this section you will complete and submit your third written assignment.  Your Paper 2 must be submitted and returned marked "Accepted" before you can submit Paper 3.

  2. The written assignment for Section 4 (Paper 3) is a short story.   It is an informal essay.  It should not be written in a five-paragraph essay format.  There should be no introduction and no conclusion.  Paper 3 must contain at least one line of dialogue.

  3. However, you must still follow basic grammatical rules.  Use complete sentences, even though they may contain contractions and slang.  All dialogue must conform to standard rules of paragraphing.

Note 1: Unlike Part 1 and Part 2 of the Course Packet (PACK 1 and PACK 2), Part 3 of the Course Packet (PACK 3) does not contain page numbers.  You are welcome to hand-number them for your convenience.  However, you will not need to do so for the purpose of doing an MLA style Work Cited entry.

Note 2: Paper 3 is similar to an assignment in Web 1113.  You MAY NOT use the same paper for both courses.
