  ASSIGNMENT

Paper 4

1.      Write an informational Narration of Process essay of at least five hundred (500) words using the Referential Aim and the Mode of Narration of Process.

2.      Do not use instructional Narration of Process.  There should be no second person pronouns (you, your, yours) in this assignment, and no use of second person sentences of any kind.  Recipes and oil changes are not acceptable topics for Paper 4.

3.      Pick a process that is familiar to you (for example going on a deer hunt, putting on make-up, going to a football game, feeding a baby, etc).  Then divide the process into a series of at least three (3) steps.

4.      Because this is a Referential Aim essay, it must be comprehensive - that is, you must talk about all the steps in the process.

5.      Give the details of each separate step in a separate body paragraph.  Your introduction should contain background information about the process in general and a thesis statement that lists the specific steps in the process.  Your conclusion should re-state your thesis and give at least one application for the process you have chosen.

6.      Remember: the way to set up the steps of your process is by the time order in which they occur.

NOTE: Paper 4 must be submitted and returned marked "Accepted" before you move on to Module 6.
