Before you do the readings and view the presentation below, please be advised of the following:

  1. In this section you will complete and submit your second written assignment.  You MUST follow the Submission Procedure outlined on the Web 1113 Home Page.

  2. The written assignment for Module 3 (Paper 2) is an informal essay.  It should be written in a conversational style (sound like the way you talk).

  3. Paper 2 should not be written in a five-paragraph essay format.  There should be no introduction and no conclusion.  However, you should not turn in a single paragraph for your Paper 2.  Follow the simple rule that each paragraph in the series of paragraphs that will make up your essay should focus on a single specific topic or a single significant action.

  4. Paper 2 MUST contain at least one line of direct dialogue.  When writing direct  dialogue, each time a new speaker talks, you should begin a new paragraph.

  5. Although this is an informal essay, you must still follow basic grammatical rules.  Use complete sentences, even though they may contain contractions and slang.  Feel free to use dialogue if you wish to do so.

NOTE:  Your Paper 1 must be returned marked "Accepted" before you can submit Paper 2.
