It contains links to all the Units, as well as the other main sections of this Website, and much useful information about the class.

Unlike in previous semesters, you will not need to do any downloads to view the PowerPoint presentations.  They have been saved in a new format.  All you should have to do is click on the link that starts the show.

The course is divided into nine modular units with a written assignment to be completed at the end of all but the first.   All these units should be completed in order, Unit 1 through Unit 9.  The steps needed to complete each unit are listed below.   Unless the assignment specifically states otherwise, you MUST go through ALL the steps for EVERY unit.

  SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Note: In order to submit essays for Web 2413 and have them evaluated, you must be a student in good standing at Murray State College, be officially enrolled in Web 2413, and follow the procedure described below.

All essays MUST conform to the guidelines listed in the Statement of Policy on the Web 2413 Course Page.  If you have not yet read the Statement of Policy, please do so now.  Submissions which violate these guidelines will not be accepted.

All submissions MUST be sent as an attachment to an E-Mail message.

This E-Mail message MUST contain—in the big blank Message section at the bottom, not on the Subject line in the Heading section at the top—the Student's Name, the Unit Number, the Assignment Number, and whether or not the attached assignment is a revision.  Most students just type their paper headings into the Message section of E-mail to which the file containing their submission is attached.  Here is an example:

John Smith

Unit 2

Reading Response 1

Not a revision

If the assignment is a revision, the student MUST briefly discuss the changes which have been made to the original.

Submissions which do not follow ALL of the above requirements will be deleted, unread.
