Pre-Optometry
College preparatory courses for pre-optometry training should place emphasis on the basic sciences. A minimum of 60 semester hours of pre-optometry training is required for admission to optometry school, which requires completion of an additional four years of advanced optometry study. Students should choose electives in consultation with their academic advisor and based on the catalog of the college/university to which they plan to transfer.
