Murray State College will host a free softball camp for students in grades two (2nd) through six (6th) on Sunday, September 25, at the Murray State College softball field from 2-5 p.m. Participants may check in at the softball field beginning at 1:30 p.m. Participants must preregister by printing a registration form on the MSC website at mscok.edu, completing and mailing to Coach Marie Stone. There is no charge for this camp.
The Murray State College Women’s Golfer Beth Acey’s 72-70 (-2) clenched first place in the Southwestern Christian Invite on September 7.
In the first tournament of the fall season, Murray State College golfers Davis Farnell and Alistair Snowdon finished in the top 20 of more than 70 golfers in the U.C. Ferguson Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University on September 7.
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Team, comprised of players representing 22 colleges from 11 states across all three divisions of NJCAA baseball and coached by Murray State’s own Zach Crabtree, walked away from the National Baseball Congress (NBC) World Series in Wichita, Kan. with a 3-1 record and the 2016 Sportsmanship Award. In a tweet from series’ organizers, the national team received kudos for “…..displaying wonderful sportsmanship on and off the field!”
Murray State College Women’s Soccer has announced plans to host Brookhaven College on Sunday, August 28, 2016 for a special United We Stand Match, benefiting the Dallas Fallen Officers Foundation. The match, which begins at 2 p.m., will be held at Ardmore’s Regional Park Soccer Complex, 2704 N. Rockford Road.
