2017 MSC SUMMER STEM ACADEMY
June 5th-8th, 2017
Fun hands-on activities, new friends, and a better understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)…those are just some of the things we hope to provide to fifty young people from across Oklahoma that will be selected into the Murray State College Summer STEM Academy. With trips to the Noble Foundation Academy, the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge, the National Fish Hatchery, and activities in bridge building, lego robotics, forensics, and rocket launching, each day of the academy has a full schedule.

The MSC Summer STEM Academy strives to enhance student knowledge and interest in STEM subjects. Through stimulated learning opportunities and hands on learning experiences in mathematics, science and multi-disciplinary studies with integration of technology, the MSC Stem Academy is something you do not want to miss.
The STEM Academy, beginning on June 5th, is a free camp designed to give participants a taste of college life. Campers stay in the Murray State College dorms, and experience college life first hand. College instructors as well as high school instructors help lead classes and activities.
Parents of participants say their children enjoyed the experience:
Thank you so much! My son had so much fun, and learned a lot from STEM this year. He is still talking about his experience.
[She] had such a great experience at MSC. Your STEM Academy was her favorite camp this summer. One of the many things she loved about Murray was that she was taught by actual professors and certified teachers, which led us to discuss the benefits of attending a junior college.
