Few things are more exciting than traveling internationally. When traveling abroad, you get to experience all the wonderful cultures that make up our world. More and more individuals are traveling outside of the United States. As your are preparing for your adventure abroad, there are important steps to take to ensure you have a safe and healthy trip.

The best way to prepare for any trip abroad is to do proper research before your departure. Whether you are a first time traveler or a veteran traveler, and whether it is your first time to a specific location or your hundredth, staying current on information for your destination can minimize your security risks and help ease travel anxiety.

The health, safety, and security of Murray State College (MSC) students participating in our study abroad program is the primary concern for the MSC International Studies Office. Every effort is made to ensure that our students, faculty and staff traveling abroad have the resources and information they need for a successful study abroad experience. Though absolute safety cannot be guaranteed abroad just as it cannot be guaranteed in the United States, MSC is committed to taking the necessary steps to maximize student safety at every program site.

The U.S. Department of State provides access to web publications and websites with valuable information of international travel. The CDC also provides useful information to help you be proactive, prepared and protected against injury or illness.
