Faculty and Staff Welcomed Back to Campus
Murray State College welcomed faculty and staff on Monday, August 6, 2018 to its annual all-employee meeting which marks the beginning of each fall semester.
MSC President Joy McDaniel welcomed the large group and introduced new employees. She also presented length of service awards to current employees.
“The college is comprised of many talented staff members who remain dedicated to student success year after year. Our staff, faculty and students are the people who make us so unique. Within our college community we will continue working to create student opportunities and pathways to success,” said McDaniel. Employees receiving recognition for length of service were:
Brian Campbell, 30 years; Kathy Drinnon and Carmen Kemp, 20 years; Jeana West, 15 years; Garland Sadler, Mary Rixen, Donald Loving, and Dr. Aaron Elmer, 10 years; and Christen Puckett Smith, Mary Owen, Terry Orr, Caroline Nenninger, Dr. Philip Morton, DaBett McCarter, Bobbi LaFevers, Brenda Howell, Stephanie Henry, Lauren Mignon Grisham, Edward Cobb, Rhonda Brown, Cortney Bralley, Amanda Berry and Shelly Andrews each receiving five-year service awards.
Also announced during the meeting were promotion of faculty members from assistant to associate professor and instructor to assistant professor. Those promoted in rank were Dr. Rebecca Jacobs-Pollez from assistant to associate professor; with Dan Moore, Michele Elmer, Debbie Paul, and Christy Uzzel being recognized as assistant professors.
“Our faculty members are committed to their subject areas and their students. They are amazing individuals with talents that improve Murray State College both inside and outside the classroom,” McDaniel said.
