Basketball Results: NOC-Tonakwa & Enid

The Murray State Basketball teams are working overtime these days. In addition to the regular games, the teams are making up games postponed due to the winter weather. This past week, the team traveled to Northern Oklahoma Colleges in Enid and Tonkawa for make-up games, and traveled to Carl Albert for the regularly scheduled game. The string of road games proved tough for the teams.

The Aggies and Lady Aggies both fell to NOC-Tonkawa in the make-up game on Thursday. The women took a 71 to 74 loss and the men fell 60-79. For the women, Toni Cheadle led scorers with 19 points. Cheadle also had 12 rebounds and blocked 5 shots. LaShanda Green had 14 points and 6 assists. Other scorers for the women were Brittney Treas with 8 and Ebony Harrison and Jasmine Gaddis with 6 each. Clement Bonardo led the Aggies with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Other scorers were Mario Fleurima with 15 and Wyatt Smith and Gage Guest with 6 points. Smith also pulled down 6 rebounds.

In Enid the Ladies lost another close one 76 to 81, and the Aggies took a 62-79 loss. Cheadle led the Lady Aggies with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Other scorers were Richardson with 15 points, Treas with 12, Green with 11, and Ashley O’Dell with 7 points. Treas also had 8 rebounds, and Green had 7. For the men, Bonardo led with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Eric Golightly added 17 points and 3 assists. Other scorers were Milos Milidragovic with 11 points, Smith with 7, Fleurima with 5 and Guest with 3.

Both teams also fell to Carl Albert. The Lady Aggies took a 65-75 loss and the men fell 57-71. The teams take on Western Oklahoma State College at home on Thursday, February 20 at 6:00 p. m. They will then travel to Seminole on Saturday for the last of the weather make-up games. The games in Seminole begin at 2:00 pm.
