Aggie Alum wins Championship
The Murray State College baseball program continues to produce champions. Recently MSC alum, and current assistant baseball coach, Brandon Marris was crowned a champion in his first season of professional baseball. Marris played for the Sante Fe Fuego in the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs this past season. On Friday, he dog-piled on the field with his teammates Kokernot Field in Alpine, Texas when the Fuego clinched the final game of the Pecos League championship series. The Fuego took down the Alpine Cowboys 7-3 in the championship game. Marris led the Fuego in innings pitched this year with 68.2. He had a 5-3 record, with 62 strikeouts, 32 walks and 5.11 ERA.
